Remember when J.Lo was asked for her opinion on her ex Ben Affleck’s phoenix back tattoo (you know, the colorful one), and she said that it’s “Awful!” and that his tattoos shouldn’t be so colorful and should be cooler?
Well, many people would agree that body ink looks best when it’s limited to the simple palette of black, white, grey, and maybe just a few other neutrals.
However, Japan and South Korea might disagree, because the beautiful and vibrant watercolor tattoos are more popular in the Far East than ever. And yes, you don’t have to overrun your skin in hyper-color pigment, as the technique is essentially a watercolor painting.
You can also use the watercolor tattoos to add something to your old simple line tattoo and make them look fresh.
However, the only downside (or upside, if you see it that way) of the watercolor tattoos is that they don’t last for a long time. Tattoo artists suggest keeping the colorful ink vibrant by being liberal with the sunscreen and daily lotion, as they will increase the longevity of the tattoo.
Today, we will present you with a series of watercolor tattoos you can get this summer, so scroll down to check them out, and tell us if you like them in the comments!
