With the rise of the Black Lives Matter movement and the way politics are going these days, it’s nice to remind people that we’re not born intolerant.
The skin color of people is absolutely not a defining characteristic, and the innocence of children and the way they see the world proves that. Hate is not something you are born with, but it’s learned, and if it takes children to remind us of that – so be it.
Just take a look at these two pranksters. Jax is a 5-year-old boy that wanted to get the same haircut as his best friend Reddy so their teacher wouldn’t be able to tell them apart. The photo was shared by Lydia Rosebush, Jax’s mother, and the only difference between the two boys is their haircut.
Although we’re aware that this single post won’t end racism in the world, but it serves as a reminder and a proof that hate and prejudice is something that is taught. Just look at the two boys with the new haircut.
