82-Year-Old Bodybuilder Grandma “Manhandles” Burglar Who Broke Into Her House

Willie Murphy is an 82-year-old grandmother that happens to be an award-winning bodybuilder, and she recently told the story of how she confronted a burglar more than half her age and absolutely won.

She described her ordeal to a local TV station. She said that the thief broke into her home in New York state at about 11 pm on Tuesday night, but ended up leaving in an ambulance after the 82-year-old took him down around the head with a table.

Yes, you read that right.
Murphy might be five feet tall and weigh just 105lbs, but she deadlifts 225lbs and is a very strong woman. She noted that the burglar showed up at her door and tried to convince her to let him in as he was sick, but what he didn’t know was that he soon would be.

After the grandma refused him entry, she decided that enough is enough. She said in the interview that even though she’s alone and she’s old, she’s tough. She took a table and cracked it on the guy, and she then used a broomstick against him and even smothered him in shampoo when he tried to enter her property. Once the table broke, she used the metal legs of the table on him. She then alerted the cops but also utilized some of the things with reach in her house to teach the guy a lesson and hold him down while the police were on their way.

Murphy explained to Fox News that she heard a loud noise, and she saw the young man in her home. So, she picked up the table, and went to work on him.
He went down, so she jumped on him, grabbed the shampoo, got the broom, and used it on him repeatedly.

“He picked the wrong house to break into.” – she said, and we couldn’t agree more.

The 82-year-old has since received a hero’s welcome back at her gym at the Maplewood YMCA where she regularly trains.
To add to that, even the first responders that arrived at the scene wanted to get a photo with her.
