I got something like this in the pre-cell days. I was on the hoot shift at the PD and the call came in while I was asleep. So I wasn’t happy camper when I answered the phone. There was a pause and then a women asked to speak with Paula. I informed her she had the wrong number, she apologized and hung up.

The phone rang again and I again informed her she had the wrong number. The third time things went downhill. She insisted she had copied the number down at the time TPC gave her daughter the number, and I told her I was a cop trying to get some sleep before I had to go to work. She insisted I was a friend of her daughter trying to prank her. I informed her she was totally wrong, and I’d had the number for 11 years (still do, in fact), and in all that time there had never been anybody named Paula in my house. Then I hung up.

A couple of minutes later it rang again, I snatched it up and yelled “What the fuck do you want, lady!!” It was my girlfriend, oops! 🙁

Every day the US gets worse. We pretend everything is fine, justify things, lie to ourselves, and stay silent.

Do you think things will get better on their own?

At point will you get mad? When will you resist? What will say when the economy collapses, you get sent to the concentration camps, the civil war starts, and WWIII breaks out?

Will you feel any responsibility at all?

Are you just going to take it?
