This year’s Oscars ceremony was held in LA, and it was truly full of unforgettable moments, including Rami Malek falling off the stage, and Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s performance.
However, arguably the cutest moment was when Chris Evans helped Regina King make her way up to the stage to collect her Oscar for Best Supporting Actress.
Regina stumbled over her dress, and Chris jumped up to offer his arm for support, just like he did when Betty White was on her way to the People’s Choice Awards stage in 2015.
Many social media users loved the moment, and Chris Evans was even trending worldwide for hours as a result and he was praised for what he did:
There were people, however, that didn’t feel the same way about the moment. In fact, they said that it was proof of just how the bar of expectation for attractive straight white men is low.
How do you feel about this? Was Chris Evans’ offer to help an act of chivalry, or was it really something not even worth mentioning? Tell us in the comments!
