Sinead O’Connor sparked outrage on the social media by claiming that she no longer wants to spend time with ‘disgusting white people’ after she converted to Islam.
The Irish singer, who now refers to herself as Shuhada’ Davitt, later apologized for her racist tweet, but said that she never wants to spend time with white people again.

The former Catholic priest included several hashtags, including: #TrustMeIAmaSoldier, #NotAsF*****CrazyAsSheLooks’ and #ReignOfWhiteMANover.
The 51-year-old has battled with her mental health for years now, and she was met with a furious backlash from both Muslims and non-Muslims.
Someone replied to her the obvious: ‘You’re disgusting too then, because you’re are also white.’

But truly I never wanna spend time with white people again (if that’s what non-muslims are called). Not for one moment, for any reason. They are disgusting.”

The mother-of-four who was ordained as a Catholic priest in the 1990s wrote in October that converting to Islam was the only natural conclusion for any intelligent theologian’s journey, and that she will be given a new name – Shuhada’.
