Alissa White-Gluz Of Arch Enemy Says Going Vegan Is The Ultimate Feminist Statement

Alissa White-Gluz of the metal-band Arch Enemy recently spoke about how feminism and veganism are inseparable between them in an interview with Kerrang.
She said that the meat and diary industries affect everything, from the environment to the economy.

She pointed out an under-recognized aspect of meat and dairy production and said that the entire dairy and egg industry is made off of the exploitation of the female reproductive cycle.
So, she said, vegans will say that if you want to be a feminist, you have to be a vegan.

She added that people will get up in arms about this, but she thinks it’s totally related.
She’s not a mother, but she said that she might be one day, and as a woman, knowing that other species have that cycle and once it’s used up, they take away the animals is sickening.

Alissa also ponted out that looking into these parts of the meat industry is “totally doable for anyone out there looking to switch to a plant-based and cruelty-free lifestyle”.

She noted that all you gotta do is look up something and you’ll have the information.
