Arnold Schwarzenegger offered to lend Greta Thunberg his electric car last month, and he has now decided to go for a bicycle ride with the 16-year-old environmental campaigner.
The two rode around Santa Monica on their bikes before Arnold introduced Greta to his daughter Christina.
Arnold shared a few photos from their day on Twitter, and he referred to Greta as one of his heroes. He wrote that it was fantastic to see one of his friends and one of his heroes, Greta Thunberg last week and go on a bike ride around Santa Monica, and he was so pumped to introduce her to his daughter Christina.
Thunberg tweeted a few days ago that she’s been traveling east through the beautiful southern states in the U.S. to get to the east coast and she hopes to find transport to COP25 in Madrid.
Greta got to meet the Oscar-winning actor and fellow environmentalist Leonardo DiCaprio, and the Inception star had nothing but praise for the young Swede.
This is what he wrote on Instagram about her:
“There are few times in human history where voices are amplified at such pivotal moments and in such transformational ways – but Greta Thunberg has become a leader of our time.
It was an honour to spend time with Greta. She and I have made a commitment to support one another, in hopes of securing a brighter future for our planet.”
