Oscar-winning Hollywood actress Charlize Theron recently announced that instead of looking for Mr. Right, she’s so happy with her own company that she would never again want to live with another partner. The 44-year-old doesn’t know if she’ll ever be able to live with somebody again, and her future partner would probably have to buy the house next to her. She has not had a live-in romance for more than 10 years, and she doesn’t know if she would be able to deal with that ever again.
“I’m too old for that s***” – she added.
When asked if she gets lonely, Theron insisted that she has never felt alone in her life, and she believes it’s much more important to focus on raising her two children.
When asked if she’s scared of romance and love, she said that she’s not scared at all, but her life right now just doesn’t allow for a lot of room for something like that to happen – something that’s really difficult to happen even when you’re not a single mom like herself.
Charlize Theron was engaged with Irish actor Stuart Townsend more than 10 years ago, but they broke up in 2010. Her last boyfriend was actor Sean Penn, but they broke up in 2015, and he is believed to have married his 28-year-old girlfriend Leila George in a secret ceremony recently.
Charlize Theron stars in Netflix’s new hit film The Old Guard, where she plays the role of Andy, a member of a team of immortal mercenaries. If there’s a sequel to the movie, it could make her the highest-paid woman in Hollywood, which comes as no surprise after her roles in movies such as Atomic Blonde and Mad Max: Fury Road.
According to the actress, though, playing these hard gals in action movies was much easier than teaching her daughters, aged eight and four, during the lockdown.
She told Sirius XM that her biggest challenge was homeschooling, as it was mentally challenging both for her and her two small children.
Looking back at the lockdown, Theron said that it was an incredibly stressful time, and she jokingly noted that she will make any action movie over and over again before she homeschools again.
