In one of the most ignorant and absolutely, stunningly misogynistic comments from a politician’s mouth probably ever, an elected politician said that women who “expose their breasts in public” while breastfeeding shouldn’t mind men grabbing their breasts or gawking.
Even though men and women are legally allowed to bare their nipples in public in New Hampshire, State Representative Josh Moore are attempting to pass a bill that would make it illegal, for women only, of course.
The bill states that a woman could be charged with a misdemeanor if she “purposely exposes the area of her breasts in a public place and in the presence of another person with reckless disregard for whatever a reasonable person would be offended or alarmed by such an act”.
Even though the bill makes exceptions for breastfeeding, Moore doesn’t.
After the bill was criticized by State Rep. Amanda Bouldin on Facebook, Moore responded with a post of his own, which will always remain in the archives as one of the most misogynistic posts ever.
And if Moore’s disgusting comment wasn’t terrible enough, State Rep. Al Baldasaro gave his own unsolicited comments about the post:
This is what he wrote:
“Amanda, No disrespect, but your niррlе would be the last one I would want to see. You want to turn our family beach’s [sic] into a pervert show. Liberterians [sic] want a nudе beach, put your money together and buy one, if you want to expose you [sic] kids to nudity, go for it. Some of us liberty minded [sic] Reps do beleive [sic] in family values.”
Believe it or not, the accounts of these elected politicians have not been hacked, and they indeed wrote those things.
Twitter, expectedly, responded brilliantly to the situation. In fact, they declared Moore to be the winner of the “Douchebag of the year award”.
