Dad Doesn’t Help Wife With Newborn at Night Because He Has a Job, Asks If He’s Wrong

Adjusting to a newborn baby can be tough for new parents – and that’s a fact. This is especially tough for first-time parents that have been used to getting eight hours of uninterupted, blissfull sleep. Well, that’s no longer the case, as there’s helpless newborn baby screaming at the top of its lungs in the middle of the night.

Thankfully, we live in 2022, so the tasks of childcare are usually divided. However, this can still turn out to be a difficult challenge, especially with the chaotic work schedules and the newfound exhaustion.

I mean, nobody enjoys being woken up multiple times a night to go feed the baby or change diapers, but it’s things that you’ve gotta do.

Case in point, one frustrated dad of a newborn baby decided to take it to the Am I The A-hole subreddit and ask whether he was in the wrong to skip nighttime baby care because his partner is already up, feeding the baby, and she’s on maternity leave. Reddit had a lot to say, but we invite you to check out the story for yourself before you jump into conclusion.

The majority of Reddit voted that the dad is in the wrong here, and his partner has every right to be mad at him.
