Dad Wears Matching Elsa Costume To Support Son Who Loves ‘Frozen’

Scott Stuart is the dad of Colin – a massive Frozen fan who fell in love with the movie and the characters as a 3-year-old. The 37-year-old said that his son fell in love with Queen Elsa from a young age, and he loved everything about her. Of course, he wanted every toy and costume available, and he even had an Elsa doll.
When Frozen 2 came out, the boy wanted him and his dad to wear an Elsa costume to the movie. And so they did!

As the date for the movie was approaching, Colin started to get worried that people would laugh at him because of his Elsa dress.

“I feel that in a moment like that, we can either teach our kids to run away from who they are and what they love — to try and please other people — or teach them to have the courage to be themselves. We chose to teach him to be himself. And to support him, I wore an Elsa costume too.”

As promised, the dad matched his son in a blue Elsa gown, and shared the moment in a TikTok video that has since been watched more than 10 million times.

How it all began? Well, one day Colin came home from preschool crying because someone said that Elsa was for girls. That day the dad decided that he would always support the things his son loves, even if they challenged his or society’s expectations of him.
“If my son wants to do something outside a gender ‘norm,’ I’ll do it too so he sees it’s totally OK to be both a man AND wear a dress.” – he concluded.
