Anyone who has suffered or had someone close that has suffered from a UTI (Urinary Tract Infection) will tell you that it’s a very, very painful experience. And even though UTI’s can be treated, a number of complications can occur when left untreated, especially for women.
Women can contract UTI’s in several ways. Many people know that they can contract it after having intercourse with someone, but there are other ways, like taking certain medications and birth controls, sitting in a wet bathing suit, certain fabrics in underwear, etc.
However, regardless of the reason, many women have come to the conclusion that doctors usually treat UTI like it’s nothing, even though many studies have shown that UTI’s can lead to serious complications if not given the proper medication to heal.
@floozyesq is a Twitter user that went on to bring the issue up on the social media, and she mocked the doctors that don’t do enough and even make light of women who develop UTI’s.
After she called out doctors for their lack of professionalism, and her tweet went viral on the social media, many other women chimed in:
