One of the scariest things that can happen to anyone is to be trapped in a situation with a dangerous person, but don’t know how to call for help. In the light of Sarah Everern’s disappearance and tragic outcome, many women came out with their stories about how they managed to slip someone a note in which they said that they needed help, or signaled in some other way that they’re in an unsafe situation.
But wouldn’t it be great if there was a universal way that we could all quickly, yet discreetly, call for help when we’re in danger?
Well, there is!
It’s the international signal for help, and it has gone viral in recent days for many reasons!
The video was first shared by Indian restaurant owner Harjinder Singh Kukreja, and it shows several scenarios in which a person needs help and signals using the call for help. We believe that we all need to learn to recognize it, and you’ll check the video for yourself below.

The campaign is named Signal for Help, and it was launched by the Canadian Women’s Foundation last April. It gained a lot of popularity in recent days, and it reached a partnership with the world’s largest philanthropic network for girls and women – Women’s Funding Network!
The Signal for Help initiative is a way to communicate via video call discreetly and tell someone that you’re in a dangerous situation without saying a word.

The signal is very useful, and it can be done discreetly. It required just one hand, and it’s very convenient! What do you think about it? Feel free to tell us in the comments!
