Even though Christmas is widely accepted in the western community as a time when people should be spending with their families, that just wasn’t possible for Pierce Vaughan, who works as a flight attendant with Delta Airlines.
Her dad, Hal Vaughan, though, certainly didn’t overlook his daughter’s work schedule on Christmas, as she was scheduled to work on six different flights on Christmas Day and the day after. She was most definitely unable to be with her family for Christmas, so her dad did the most amazing thing: He booked himself a seat one each and every one of those six flights so he could spend Christmas with his daughter. Yes, you read that right: six flights.
That’s a true dad’s love right there!
The story was shared by Mike Levy, who was seated next to Hal in First Class on their flight from Fort Myers, Florida, to Detroit, Michigan. He took a selfie with the dad and a photo of the smiling Pierce and shared the photos on Facebook. His description of the dad’s sweet Christmas story gained huge popularity online.
Levy was quite shocked at how quickly the story spread, and he told Scary Mommy that he was happy to share it with the world.
Pierce herself shared the post and wrote that she wanted to thank her amazing dad, all the gate agents around the country and her perfect crew, as her dad made it on every flight and even got first class RSW-DTW.
