izarrely enough, there is a new petition that floats around the internet that asks Amber Heard to be removed from the cast for “Aquaman” for the second installment of the movie after Johnny Depp, her ex-husband, filed a $50 million lawsuit against her recently.
The petition, apparently, has been created by Jeanne Larson on Change.org and it aims for Heard, who played Princess Mera in both “Aquaman” and “Justice League” to be removed from the upcoming sequel of the DC movie.
The petition comes are a result after Depp accused her of throwing a bottle of vodka at him, and he has even filed a defamation lawsuit against her.
The petition states that Heard should be removed from the movie because she has “systematically crusaded to ruin Depp in Hollywood, repeating multiple accounts of fake incidents in which she had actually caused harm to Johnny Depp, but lied and created false accounts of him being the harm-doer”.
Larson also mentioned in the petition that Heard was arrested in 2009 for harassing her former partner Tasya Van Ree, so “Warner Brothers and DC Entertainment should and must remove Heard from their “Aquaman 2″ project”.
The petition concluded by saying that men, just as women, can be the subject of domestic harassment, and this must be recognized. Action must be taken to prevent a known harm-doer from being celebrated.
The petition has been signed by more than 12.5k people at the time of writing, and it has been sent to SVP of Publicity & Communications for DC Warner Bros Courtney Simmons and Warner Bros.
