In an ideal world, a person that has managed to accumulate the courage to come out as gay should feel proud and safe, and receive all the support from their family or friends. Sadly, we don’t live in an ideal world, and retaliation is one of the worst feelings one can have after coming out as gay.
One man decided to take it to Reddit’s Am I The A-Hole sub to ask if he was in the wrong for coming out to his mom the way he did. As it turns out, his mother kind-of pressured him into marrying a black woman and have children with her, so the OP was annoyed and told her that he was gay. Let’s just say she didn’t take it very well.

If you’ve ever been on Reddit, you know for a fact that it is an unpredictable place. Most people wrote that they see no a-holes here, and that although his way of putting things up maybe wasn’t the best, he’s most definitely not the a-hole here. What do you think? Who’s in the wrong, and who’s right?
