Gay Teen Asks BFF’s Mom Permission For Girls-Only Sleepover, And Her Response Is Everything

Remember the times when sleepovers were a big part of the social culture, especially in schools? I mean, all those late-night conversations with your girlfriends, watching a movie together, listening to the hottest new tracks, and munching on snacks.. does it get any better?

Oh, and the inevitable spillage of everyone’s crushes.

Sleepovers have been an inevitable part of the childhood (and adolescence) of many teens (at least in the Western world), and Mason Brian Barclay wanted to have his first sleepover with his new BFF, Houston Shelton. She was having a sleepover at her house, so she wanted him to come, but her parents had a strict ‘no boys allowed’ rule – which meant that only girls were invited.

So, Barclay decided to write to Houston’s mom directly and tell her that she should make an exception for him because he’s ‘a very homosexual male’. So, he asked to be a part in the sleepover over a text, and Houston’s mom responded. The response, however, was so good that Barclay had to share it with the world, and it went viral!

After the screenshot went viral, Barclay received many questions of whether he was indeed invited, and he confirmed that he did attend the sleepover.

“We had a great time, we ordered pizza and watched my favorite show The Simple Life – I’m a huge Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie fan. Meeting her mum for the first time since the post blew up was really cool and funny.” – he concluded.
