German Female Gymnasts Stand Against Women Objectification By Wearing Full-Body Suits

German gymnast Sarah Voss led the way at the European Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Basel, Switzerland last week, but apart from her impressive performance, she also decided to put the highlight on another issue: the objectification of women in the sport by wearing full-body suits to high-profile competitions.
To defy the convention, Voss decided to wear a full bodysuit, which is an outfit only seen by female competitors in the sport, who are usually instructed to wear long-sleeved or half leotards.

This is what Voss wrote on Instagram:

I am immensely proud that I was the first to present this heart project to our team! Feel good and still look elegant, why not? How do you like it?

Female gymnasts were only covering their legs in international competitions so far due to religious reasons, so Voss is taking a stand against it.
Two of her teammates followed her example and wore full-body suits during the final on April 23.
