“Give Three Good Reasons For Slavery” 4th Grader’s Homework Causes Outrage Amongst Parents

Even if they hate to admit it, many parents puzzle over their children’s homework, and it’s actually pretty understandable. I mean, sometimes so much time has passed since they’ve done something similar that they simply can’t remember it. And other times, however, children bring home some homework that is truly unexplainable.

Jerome is a 4th grader, and one day he brought his homework at home. However, when his mother, Trameka Brown-Berry saw it, she totally lost it.

Believe it or not, this is a real assignment. Check out what we’re talking about below:

Even though this assignment deserved to be immediately thrown in the trash, the young Jerome filled it out anyway, and his response was absolutely spot on.

The boy covered it all with just one sentence.

Apparently, the assignment intended to spark a discussion about the matter, but the thing is that its part of the problem itself. It’s OK to have “both sides” represented, because, after all, the U.S. is a country founded on freedom of speech and debating ideas. But some people must remember that it can only go so far!
I mean, what kind if a dialogue is to be made about taking away the basic living rights of human beings? No one should ever even try to “understand the other side”, because the other side is plain hateful!

Brown-Berry wrote in a follow-up post that the school has since apologized.
