We don’t often read stories that truly warm our heart and make us restore our faith in humanity, and this one will most definitely do that.
Michael is a 5-year-old boy from Grand Rapids, Michigan, and he recently showed up for an adoption hearing. The heartwarming moment was when his entire kindergarten class turned up to cheer him on and they congratulated him on starting a new chapter in his life. Alongside his classmates was his teacher, Mrs. McKee, and the little Michael was at the courthouse with his foster parents. He has been living with them since last Thanksgiving, and he is now legally their adoptive child.
The idea to show the boy so much moral support came to Mrs. McKee, his kindergarten teacher that works at Wealthy Elementary School. She talked with Michael’s parents, and they all agreed that the plan was actually genius and that it would mean the world to him.
Believe it or not, all of his classmates turned up.
Michael’s parents were surprised by how many kids turned up, and they were thankful for the support their son received. The kids made sure to tell the judge how much they like Michael in the most heartwarming story you will see today.
Michael’s father said that the judge turned to everyone in the room and asked them to explain what the 5-year-old kindergartner means to them, and they all stood up and said that they love Michael and that he’s their best friend. Michael also loved the fact that his friends showed up, and you can watch the heartwarming video below.
