As reported by Media Matters, Fox News host Tucker Carlson made some truly outrageous remarks when it comes to child marriage.
As reported, Tucker Carlson was the guest on a weekly show from 2006 to 2011 on a popular radio named Bubba the Love Sponge in which he spoke with the hosts about a variety of cultural and political topics, and in sometimes-vulgar terms.
According to the reports, in one of the conversations Carlson diminished the actions of Warren Jeffs, then on the FBI’s “Ten Most Wanted Fugitives” list for his involvement in arranging illegal marriages between adults and underage girls.

In another conversation, Carlson claimed that women “are extremely primitive, they’re basic, they’re not that hard to understand”.
In another tape, Carlson tried to minimize child marriage and defended the practice by claiming that underage marriage “is not the same thing exactly as pulling a child from a bus stop and assaulting that child. “The person, in this case, has made a lifelong commitment to live and take care of the person so it is a little different” – he said.
As reported by USA Today, the Fox News host is refusing to apologize for his disturbing remarks, and in response to the Media Matters report, the hashtag #FireTuckerCarlson was trending on Twitter.
