The days after childbirth can be tough for everyone. From the after-birth pains to healing the stitches, figuring out breastfeeding, suffering from the regular ‘baby issues’ such as not sleeping at night – there’s a lot to handle.
So, having visitors can be extremely tiring for the new parents, even if it’s the closest family.
However, one 27-year-old man doesn’t seem to understand it. He decided to take it to the Am I The A-hole subreddit to explain that his parents had complained about not spending Christmas with them, so when they suggested they come and stay with the young family for a week once the baby is born, he accepted.
The thing is that he did it without telling his heavily pregnant wife, who’s about to give birth any day. So, he invited his whole family to stay over for a week right after she gives birth, which, rather expectedly, made his wife very angry. So, he asked the court of Reddit if it was an a-hole move, and Reddit had a lot to say about it.
Check out the story for yourself below, and discuss whether he was in the wrong or not.
Well, most people said that he messed up big time, and he was most definitely in the wrong here. They voted him to be the a-hole here, and thought it’s on him to call his family and tell them not to come.
