Catalin Onc and his wife Elena Engelhardt take photos of the trips they take on their aspirational Instagram page called another_beautiful_day. They have more than 34,000 followers on their page, and they post photos of their trips to Indonesia, France, Italy, and New Zealand.
However, the German couple’s plans for their next adventure have caused a stir on the internet.
As it turns out, Catalin and Elena want to cycle on a tandem bike from their home to Africa this July.
However, neither of them have a job. They have been relying on Catalin’s mother to fund their lifestyle so far by working two jobs, but they have now turned to the public for financial support.
That’s right: they’ve set up a GoFundMe page in which they ask for $10,000 to embark on the trip.
The couple says that the adventure is worthy of external funding because of the positive impact it would have on their Instagram followers.
They explain on the page that they could write a long text about mental health or global warming, or tell their followers about following their dreams or how important stepping out of the comfort zone is.
While the pair are undeniably busy when it comes to going on holidays and posting photos on social media, their activeness seems questionable when it comes to the job market.
They have said getting a job would be “detrimental” to their lifestyle.
However, even though the pair is very busy when it comes to going on holidays, their activeness seems lacking when it comes to the job market.
They have even said that getting a job would be “detrimental” to their lifestyle.
Oh, no kidding.
They have so far raised around €200, but they have stirred up a huge amount of resentment amongst people who object their means of making money.
