I can’t say that I’ve read the Bible (because I haven’t), but growing up as a Christian, I don’t ever remember at any point that the father, the son, or the holy ghost taking purity tests.
Rapper, shoe designer, and bible scholar Kanye West, though, celebrated the first anniversary of his Sunday Service just yesterday, and TMZ’s video of the speech he gave the crowd at the event shows Kanye is basically similar to the praise and worship leader who’s trying to preach. During the speech, he said that “they were trying to play T.I., but he’s talking about something that is God-approved”.
Kanye, please stop saying things like this one! The rapper T.I. shouldn’t have been violating his daughter’s bodily autonomy like that, straight up! What he did is patriarchal, gross, inappropriate, and it has absolutely nothing to do with Kanye.
OK, we get it, Kanye has become that person who goes to church a couple of times, and then they think they’re the most religious person ever. I like his new album, I have nothing to do with his new-found Christianity, but saying that rapper T.I. was right to have regular check-ups to see if his daughter is still a virgin is not OK.
