Pieter Hanson, the ‘Large Adult Son’ of the woman who recently made her son the poster boy of the #HimToo movement, created his own Twitter profile and he would like to set a few things straight.
Hanson’s mother shared a cheesy photo of her son on October 6 which saw him in a uniform explaining that he “respects women”, but avoids taking them on dates because of “the current climate of false s*xual accusations by radical feminists with an ax to grind”.
Her tweet even included the hashtag #HimToo, which naturally, quickly went viral and got the meme treatment it deserves. Hanson wrote that he saw the memes, and he thinks thinks that some of them were truly hilarious. He also wanted people to know that he fully supports women.
It was Hanson’s brother Jon that encouraged Pieter to join Twitter after he saw her mom’s viral tweet. Good brother.
Hanson secured the very fitting handle @Thatwasmymom, and personally addressed all the memes about him.
“That was my Mom. Sometimes the people we love do things that hurt us without realizing it. Let’s turn this around. I respect and #BelieveWomen. I never have and never will support #HimToo. I’m a proud Navy vet, Cat Dad and Ally. Also, Twitter, your meme game is on point.”
People were really surprised when they saw that something good actually came from the controversial #HimToo, and thanked Hanson for taking a stand.
