A lesbian woman has recently decided to take it to Reddit’s popular Am I The A-hole sub to ask if she was in the wrong for adding pride and rainbow things in her apartment just to annoy her landlord. As it turns out, the woman had been living in the apartment for a year, but she found it awful, so she decided to move. She gave her landlord a notice, and she gets to live one more month in the apartment. The landlord has since put an ad for the apartment and asked the woman to remove her door curtain rainbow flag because it “scares” possible tenants that would come in to check out the apartment.
The original poster used to remove the flag anytime the landlord gave some possible tenant a tour, but one time the woman wasn’t home, so the landlord lady decided to throw the OP’s flag in the trash. Understandably, that made her extremely mad, so she decided to “flag up” the entire apartment with rainbow flags, so much so that she can’t take them all down. She now wants to know if it was an a-hole move to do or not, and Reddit helped her clear her thoughts.
Most Redditors could agree that the original poster is absolutely not in the wrong here, and the only a-hole here is the landlord. Let’s make it clear: people keep their possessions in their apartment, and their possessions reflect their lives and interests, and there’s nothing wrong about it!
