Laurel Austin is an anti-vaxxer mom from Lenexa, Kansas who thinks that “a “miracle” solution can “cure” autism. Her “miracle” solution includes drinking bleach.
The mom swears that her two sons, who have autism, have improved behavior after consuming Miracle Mineral Solution (MMS).
Apparently, MMS is a liquid that is 28% sodium chlorite in distilled water, and directions instruct people to mix the chlorite with citric acid to “activate” the solution.
When the citric acid is added, the mixture changes to become chlorine dioxide, which is actually a bleaching agent, and both can be found in household cleansers and disinfectants.
The U.S. FDA has warned consumers about MMS products that CONTAIN BLEACH in 2010.
The FDA has received many reports that these products, sold online as “treatments”, have made consumers sick, and their website warns people to stop drinking “Miracle”, “Master Mineral Solution”, or other sodium chlorite products, because they’re NOT MEANT TO BE SWALLOWED BY PEOPLE.
The FDA reports that even though some distributors are making false and dangerous claims that Miracle Mineral Supplement mixed with citric acid is an antimicrobial, antiviral, and antibacterial liquid that is a remedy for autism, cancer, HIV/AIDS, flu, hepatitis, and other conditions, using these products may cause you to delay other treatments that have been shown to be safe and effective.
Austin, however, claims that her four children are “vaccine-injured”, and she has been giving two of her children MMS.
She said that things have gotten better since she started giving her children the MMS treatment, and she asks whether her children’s health is getting worse instead of better if she was poisoning them.
Her ex-husband Brad said that in an interview with FOX4KC that he doesn’t believe that his children were vaccine-injured, and when asked if he thought something, in particular, caused his children’s autism, he said: “genetics”.
The ex-husband added that Laurel is basically poisoning their children, and he thinks that this is a child mistreatment.
