The decision about how many kids a couple is going to have is a very tough one, and it can be very hard to compromise on something as important as this if you don’t agree.
A healthy marriage, obviously, sees the father just as involved in the kids’ lives as the mother. However, each parent feels very emotionally different when the woman is carrying the children in her body and she provides the “lion’s share” of child care for them.
A woman that goes by the Reddit username u/WarmButteredPasta recently decided to post on the AITA subreddit and asked fellow Redditors whether she was in the wrong for telling her husband that tying her tubes is her decision and not a choice for them to make as a couple.
She started her post by saying that she’s a stay-at-home mom and she’s currently pregnant with their fourth child.

People needed more information, so the OP posted an update on the original post:
Most people agreed that she was not in the wrong here and that she shouldn’t apologize, and they also noted that a C-section seems like the perfect opportunity to have the procedure done.
However, they warned her that the reason her husband wants to discuss it is probably because he wants more children in the future, and that’s something worth discussing.
