Carla Bellucci is a 38-year-old mom-of-three that didn’t buy anything to her kids for Christmas and spent more than $10,000 on herself instead. The mom says that she doesn’t care if people label her as selfish, and she believes that her children, aged 18, 15, and 13 should try their best and earn their own money – using social media.
The Instagram influencer mom had previously made headlines when she managed to land a free NHS nose job by faking depression, and she considers her ‘no gift Christmas’ policy an important life lesson for her children. The woman, from Hitchin, UK, spent $10k on new veneers, touch up fillers and Botox, manicures, facials, new shoes and clothes, and she added that she doesn’t care her kids are slamming the doors upstairs. According to her, the lockdown stress means she deserves the chance to spoil herself.
This is what she told media outlets:
“I don’t care if people call me spoilt or selfish. I know I deserve my £8,000 spending spree. Spoiling kids at Christmas is wrong. I think parents who spoil their kids this year are hypocrites.
I am a brilliant mum and am using Covid Christmas as a life lesson. I want my kids to be social media stars and withholding gifts this year will teach them to make money for themselves.
Lockdown stressed me so I need to spoil myself. I have always bought the kids nice things at Christmas throughout the years. It’s Mummy time now.”
Her shopping spree and decision about gifts for Christmas has caused tensions around her house. However, the mom says that she’s sticking to her decision. Her daughter told her that she’s spoilt and that they won’t be talking to her.
The mom homeschools her kids and is teaching them how to be Instagram and TikTok stars instead of the conventional school curriculum.
She added that she believes her kids should push harder to get their Instagram careers off the ground, just like the Kardashians and Kylie Jenner.
