Makenna Myler is a 28-year-old product trainer from California. Myler has been running around six days a week throughout her pregnancy, and even though she decided to cut back her millage and has been a lot slower, she’s been very particular with her strength training to make sure that the added weight and pelvic shift didn’t cause any injury.
Believe it or not, Myler ran a 5:25 mile pace while being 9 months pregnant! She shared the achievement on TikTok, and the video has since been viewed millions of times.
Myler has been a runner for years, and she felt nervous about what running would look like at the beginning of her pregnancy. She told her husband that she believed she would run around a 7-minute mile pace, which was her casual page before the pregnancy. Her husband told her that he would give her $100 if she could break 8 minutes doing the mile at 9 months pregnant to keep her motivated.
Not only did she run below 8 minutes, but she also ran the mile at a pace of 5:25! Wow!
