The idea of women shaving their body hair is not something new. Women have been removing their body hair in ancient Egypt and Rome thousands of years ago, and women that kept their body hair unshaved were considered ‘uncivilized’. Reports say that more than 85 percent of US women are removing their hair regularly, even on a daily basis, but the tide is slowly shifting. The trend of women ditching shaving and keeping their natural look is on the rise, and there are many reasons to do this.
First of all, women see it as a way of accepting their natural body and an act of self-love!
Although society and beauty standards make women very self-conscious about how they look, and body hair is on the top of this problem, some women have decided that it’s time to put their own interests and time first, and choose what’s best for them and their bodies.
It’s not important what others expect of you – it’s your body, so the choice is yours.
Many women find dealing with body hair pretty overwhelming, as they have to fit it in their schedules and remove the hair at the right time to avoid any skin irritation. Also, some of these beauty products, like shaving creams, razors, and moisturizers, are rather expensive.
Having hair on their bodies is not a problem for many women, and they even stop noticing it after some time. In fact, why should we spend so much time and resources to get rid of something that’s natural?
