Medical professionals have been warning women to stop doing all sorts of strange things to their private parts over the last few months, and it goes from inserting Lush bath balls in there for pleasure to putting garlic in order to cure a yeast infection.
And just when we thought we’ve heard it all, there has been a new warning issued by a nurse from Seattle.
The item in question this time, however, is a hoover hose.
Yup, you read it right.
According to the nurse, two young women, aged 23 and 19, have been admitted to the hospital where she works after they attempted to vacuum their period.
As it turns out, the nurse had a meeting with her chief administrator about her initial period vacuum tweet, and she has been put on administrative leave with pay pending a full board review. She believes, though, that the board will lift her suspension because she did nothing wrong.
Her posts (now hidden from public view) received a lot of attention, and even a certified ob-gyn got involved in the discussion, trying to emphasize the urgency of the situation.
Dr. Adeeti Gupta, founder of the Walk-In GYN Care told MailOnline that it’s a terrible unsafe idea, and it can lead to several infections and injuries.
People on social media have been horrified by what they read, and many branded it “stupid at its peak”.
