A newspaper dating from 1963 has gained massive popularity on the internet in recent days because of an unlikely hero – a man named Vern Hause.
As it turns out, the newspaper was holding an interview, and Vern was the only interviewee that answered the question ‘Would a woman be a good president?’ positively. This is the answer he gave to the newspaper:
“She couldn’t do any worse than some we’ve had.”
The man from Stevens Point, Wisconsin, gave a straight answer, and it has gone viral since. The original Tweet from Nate Pentz racked up more than 20,000 likes.

The four other interviewees, including two women, all gave a negative answers, and the reasons are very blatant. Vern, however, has become the hero of the internet for his answer!
What most people loved is the fact that Vern didn’t say that ‘a woman would be a good president because women are just as capable as men’. No, he basically said: ‘Well, everyone sucks’. Is he far from the truth?
In a world full of Franks and Toms, be a Vern. https://t.co/sTepqa96Rd
