A mom’s discovery she made in the underwear aisle for your children has gained a lot of popularity online, and it’s something we see everywhere in the world. Forcing children to “grow up” at a young age is nothing new, and throwing them in beauty pageants in “adult” clothing makes things even worse.
Yes, it’s cute when a child tries to literally walk in mommy’s or daddy’s shoes, or even try mommy’s or daddy’s clothing, but putting on clothing that is meant to accentuate certain features is absolutely disgusting!
Angela Fellar is a mom who spotted some rather unusual items in Calvin Klein’s line of underwear designed for children: padded bras.
The mom noticed a Calvin Klein line of bras in the 6/6x size, which, by itself, is not a big deal. However, the padding on the bra is what got her angry. I mean, why would 6-year-old girls need padded bras?
We must note, though, that the pads in the bras are removable, but many people questioned why are they there in the first place. Others also pointed out that this is just another example of reinforcing body standards on women, even when they’re just 6 years old.
Many people argued, though, that the bras could be made for petite, older women, or smaller framed teenagers. The fact remains, though, that they’re sized for 6/6x.
Many people also added that the padding on the bras wasn’t there for aesthetic purposes, but they are actually more comfortable than lined bras.
