And yet another Gillette Venus advert managed to spark outrage online, and it got branded by people as “absurd”.
The advert shows a woman shaving her arms with a razor, and many people claim that it would make teenage girls “paranoid” about their arm hair.
The woman in the ad walks under palm trees and she later runs a razor over her forearm, which is, by the way, lathered in shaving foam, as she is sitting in the bathtub.
The ad depicts women of all ethnicities, and women with tattoos and vitiligo. It features the slogan “My Skin. My Way”, and it’s about a custom razor that is “designed for wherever you shave”.
Many people on social media, however, questioned if shaving your arms is now considered “normal”, and many were also disappointed with it, claiming that it would make teenage girls humiliated and paranoid and that it adds another social pressure to them.
What do you think about the ad? Do you like it, or you also believe it just adds another pressure on women? Tell us in the comments!
