People On The “Coronavirus Cruise Ship” Are Tweeting What It’s Like Being Stuck In A Floating Quarantine

The Diamond Princess cruise ship that originally had 3,700 passengers and crew onboard has become the largest single cluster of the new Coronavirus outside its origin in China.
An additional 39 people on board the cruise ship off the Japan coast have tested positive for the new coronavirus, and thousands of people are stuck in the ship for the second week in quarantine.
Japanese Health Minister Katsunobo Kato told reporters that out of the 53 new test results, 39 people were found positive, bringing the total of cases on board to 174. A quarantine officer has also been found to be infected with the virus.

The Diamond Princess has been in quarantine since it arrived on the Japanese coast almost two weeks ago after the virus was detected in a former passenger who got off the ship in Hong Kong.
People who remain on the ship have been asked to stay in their cabins and are allowed onto open decks only for a very short amount of time, as long as they wear face masks.

Many of the people on board have been tweeting out what it feels like to be on the cruise ship, and you can check some of the tweets below:
