You see, girls are expected to dress in pink, play with dolls, and be interested in sewing and dancing – while boys should be dressed in ‘manly’ colors, play with trucks, and be interested in sports and hunting.
Yes, as unfortunate as it is, some people still believe that ‘boys should be boys’ and ‘girls should be girls’ – and this story is another example of it.
