Priest Banned From Cathedral Because His Wife Won Beauty Pageant Contest

Sergiy Zotov, a priest from Russia, has been banned from officiating in Magnitogorsk Orthodox Cathedral and has been exiled to a remote vilage church after his 32-year-old wife Oksana Zotova was crowned “Miss S**uality” in the contest in Magnitogorsk, Russia.

The 31-year-old cleric had been told that there is no way back because of the “scandal” unless his wife “repents”.

The priest said that his wife “understand her mistakes and knows what she did wrong”, but she hasn’t repented and has instead criticized the church.

She also said that she has faced angry messages and planned to call the police.

Zotova received criticism by some parts of the community for her “sinful” behavior and “glamour lady” appearance, and she is also accused of “flaunting” her “luxury lifestyle.

The couple has been married for 15 years now, and the contest included women of all ages, and married and unmarried.

Even though Zotova had to remove her social media accounts, she told people that yes, she took part in the contest, and she couldn’t see what’s the problem.

According to the critics, she and the priest had also taken a holiday to Barbados, which they strongly deny.

The mother of two also added that she is from a deeply religious family, her brother is also a priest, and that she obeys religious restrictions.
