There are some miracles in nature that science can’t dispel, and one of them is the strength and dedication of a mother to protect her children no matter what.
Snowbelle is a dog mom that was found together with her six puppies in the snow near Red Lake, Minnesota, and officials from Red Lake’s Rosie’s Rescue told Bored Panda that a community member saw her and her puppies in the snow and alerted their rescue. As it turns out, the snow around the cute doggos had melted from their body heat, and Snowbelle and her puppies were later brought to the shelter. The founder of the shelter, Karen, set up Snowbelle in a kennel with blankets, and she was determined that the dog was so starved that her milk had dried up. However, they were surprised to find out that the puppies were already three weeks old, and they were absolutely amazed at how they all managed to survive in those harsh conditions.
They all started doing everything they can to nurture them back to health, including giving them a mixture of puppy formula and puppy food and they cleaned their kennel after every feeding. The mom also had to be nurtured back to health, and after just a few days of good nutrition, her milk came back and she was able to start feeding her babies on her own again.
She even gained a new name, Asha, and the shelter has reported that the majority of the dogs have already been adopted, with Asha and 2 of her puppies waiting for their loving homes.
People who already adopted some of the puppies used to opportunity to show everyone how they look now. Beware, though, as they are dangerously cute!
This is one strong mama dog!
