Ruby Rose, best known for her role as Stella Carlin on Orange is the New Black, shared a series of post from the future (Australia) to slam down some tabloid stories about her appearance.
She was very disappointed how people reacted to her acne when she attended the premiere of her new movie Pitch Perfect 3.
This acne belongs to me, not them, and you are welcome to it. I never thought I’d see the day I’d leave my beautiful country bawling my eyes out… when I was so excited to come home….
It turned out that the stories about her acne was just the beginning because people also had a lot to say about her “too-thin” appearance.
Her special moment was ruined by shameless writers who would do anything for clicks.
Instead of the dozens of photos of me from behind they run only one photo to fit their narrative.
Why not publish this photo instead?
Or these ones:
When you can UP the contrast and definition of a rare photo where I was probably taking it in… and change the narrative to sell papers?
She didn`t have to explain her appearance in that above photo because it had nothing to do with an eating disorder. Rose has been just furious that an article used Instagram comments from random people to make it seem like she did had health problems.
The worst thing about the DailyFail is that they didn’t just ruin what should have been the best experience of her life, but they also did about eight back to back stories about her “too thin” appearance.
She was also upset that they use a term like Anorexia so easily because that`s actually a terrible and deadly illness.
Rose also disabled comments from her Instagram page for now so sites like DailyFail can`t use them to spin a story that`s far from the truth.
