Getting your annual mammogram is one of the most important things you can do for your health, as finding breast cancer early reduces the risk of it being fatal by 25-30% or even more. All women should start having mammograms yearly at the age of 40, or even earlier.
Actress and comedian Sarah Silverman got her annual mammogram recently, but it turned out to be a wake-up call for her, and it got many women nodding in agreement.
The thing is that the wake-up moment wasn’t about her health, but it was about the importance of confronting men in positions of power.

Her reaction to this creepy doctor serves as an empowering lesson for all women who have a hard time speaking up. Even though we all know that speaking up to an authority figure, let alone a doctor, can be pretty difficult for women, it gives doctors who go over the line of inappropriateness the chance to get away with it.
