Simone Biles Puts Down ESPN’s Male-Dominated GOAT Image And Shares Her Own ‘GOAT’ Picks

Following Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Super Bowl win earlier this month, people started a heated discussion on the internet to declare the GOAT (Greatest Of All Time) sportsperson. Naturally, many jumped and declared Tom Brady to be the best athlete ever, and not just limited to NFL. However, it sparked a heated discussion on GOATs across different sports, but there was one common theme among all the discussions: the lack of women athletes.
ESPN’s SportsCenter also shared a collage of what they believe the be the GOATs of sports, but the image didn’t feature many women.

Thankfully, Olympian Simone Biles, who happens to be one of America’s greatest athletes of all time, called ESPN out on Twitter and wrote:
“There are so many women I can think of that belong in this photo yet there are none.”

Although we could notice that Tennis star Serena Williams was featured in the back of the image, it says a lot that you have to look in the background to spot the only woman athlete on the collage.
Serena Williams has 23 Grand Slam titles, more than any male tennis player ever!

Simon Biles believes that athletes such as Alex Morgan, Sue Bird, Simone Manuel, Allyson Felix, Lindsey Vonn, Serena Williams, and many others should be in the conversation among the greatest athletes of all time.
Biles herself is a strong contender for the GOAT title, with her 30 Olympic and World Championship medals, of which 23 are gold!
