Snoop Dogg Demanded Equal Pay For The US Women’s Soccer Team

Snoop Dogg, fresh from his beef with Paul Gascoigne, turned his attention to the US women’s soccer team.

However, there wasn’t any beef here. Instead, the popular rapper called for the World Cup champions, the U.S. Women’s National Team to be paid the same as their male counterparts.

Snoop Dogg demanded in his Instagram video the women’s team are “paid what they worth”, because “Snoop Dogg says so”.

He began by saying “food for thought”, and he gave a shout out to the US women’s soccer team for their fourth World Cup.
However, they only get $90k per player, when the men get $500k (if they win it).

He then added that the men from the US soccer team “ain’t ever gonna win anything”, because everyone sucks and they can’t even get past the first round.

He urged them to pay the women $500K per player, because it’s them who deserve it, and because Snoop Dogg says so.

He concluded with “USA soccer… let’s go girls”.

Following their win, Molly Levinson, a spokesperson for the USWNT players in their equal pay lawsuit told the CNN that at this moment of tremendous pride for the U.S.A., the sad equations remains clear. However, Americans won’t stand for it anymore, because these athletes generate more revenue and get higher TV ratings then their male counterparts, but get paid less just because they’re women.

It’s time for the Federation to correct this disparity once and for all.
