Cassandra Reschar is a single mother that wrote on “How He Asked” recently about how she has a full custody of her daughter, and she has very little to non “me” time. According to statistics, there are more than 13 million parents in the U.S. only that have similar problems.
It was then when she met a guy named Grant Tribbett online. The two started dating very soon after that, and 5 months later he asked Cassandra and her 5-year-old daughter Adrianna to go for a walk in the woods together.
It was there, on a small wooden bridge in the middle of the forest where he dropped on his knee and asked her to spend the rest of her life with him. Even though the proposal was a big surprise, Tribbett had another big surprise prepared. Cassandra wrote that her friend, who happens to be a professional photographer, came out of hiding and took one of the best photos ever.
Even though kids do not usually take part of these romantic walks, Tribbett insisted that Adrianna should be there, and for an incredibly touching reason. After Cassandra said “Yes!” and he put the ring on her finger, he turned to the 5-year-old girl and yet again got down on his knee.
This is what he asked her:
“Adrianna, can I be your daddy?
To promise to love and protect you for the rest of your life?”
He even offered the girl a heart necklace, while the mother immediately burst into tears.
The girl said “thank you”, and she told her mother that she finally got a daddy. Cassandra later told Huff Post that he knew her daughter was her world, and that it wasn’t just a commitment between the two of them, but a commitment to the whole family.
