Thousands Join “Leave Work And Go For Booze” Event Because “They Can’t Sack All Of Us”

A Facebook event titled “Leave work and go the beer garden, they can’t sack all of us” has already gained 27,000 attendees and 93,000 saying they are interested.

Scheduled for Monday, 19th August, thousands of workers will spill out of offices at 12pm and head for their local boozer to enjoy this the sunshine.

We believe every person who has sat in work during the heatwave has felt the jealousy at any sound of fun and joy from outside the office, where people are having fun and day-drinking.

It was probably someone who feels that way that created the Facebook event “Leave work and go to the beer garden, they can’t sack all of us”.
The event page that was created by Facebook group “The Sesh” says that the “big day” will take place on August 19, and more than 3k people have joined in since.

114k of people have said that they’re interested at the moment, and the number is rising by the minute.

We must admit that we’re not sure if this is an actual event or not, but we would like to believe it is.

To be clear: we are not condoning leaving your job to go to the bar or the pub, but maybe you and your colleagues can unite and your boss might just be sound enough to give you the afternoon off.
