There’s an old saying that says that the sun comes out after the rain – and it couldn’t be more true about the situation we’re in right now. We see struggles all around us, and there are no parties whatsoever – not even the traditional Christmas family gatherings. We believe the best way to celebrate the end of the pandemic would be to host one brilliant party.
The idea is actually not new. Back in the 1920s, there was a decade-long celebration following World War I and the Spanish Flu pandemic. People were ready to show off their joyful culture, and one post on Twitter has shown in what state the world was following WWI and the last great pandemic.
The pandemic swept through the world in the mid-1910s, but it was followed by great dynamism across all continents. The recovery of the Spanish Flu began in the 1920s, and brought modernity, cultural, and artistic progress with it. The 1920s are called the Roaring 20s, and it was a time of celebration and enjoying the freedom after years of loss and despair!
The Roaring ’20s saw an increase in wealth and a huge economic growth, and it was the start of many different music genres. Women were less restricted than ever before, and the mood between people was overwhelmingly positive!
Hopefully, the following years will be our generation’s ‘Roaring ’20s’ following the coronavirus pandemic.
This is how people reacted to the tweet that racked up more than 1 million likes!
