US Professor Thinks Mary Poppins Is Racist For Blacking Up Her Face And Here Is How The Internet Responded

Racism is still a pressing phenomenon, there is no doubt about it, but seems like these days there is a modern tendency to seek it out in places where it likely doesn’t exist and this story as seen by some is a prime example of that.

Professor Daniel Pollack-Pelzner saw something more when he was watching a scene from the 1964 classic Mary Poppins where she was powdering her nose and cheeks even blacker instead of wiping it off.

Although the original novel and films are full of things that are “problematic” when looked at from today’s perspective, but that is just a testament of how far we’ve come, even though there is still¬† more work to be done. But can we all focus on the real issues please?
