Max Van Gorder and his family have a very special connection with butterflies, as they have been used to remind the family of his sister, Vanessa, who tragically lost her life in a car accident during the Christmas holidays several years ago.
So, Max and his wife Lydia Van Gorder decided to honor his sister on their wedding day by releasing Monarch butterflies before they read their vows a few days ago in Honesdale, Pennsylvania.
However, instead of flying away, the butterflies decided to stay and cling on Vanessa’s parents. One of the butterflies even stayed on her father’s finger for the rest of the ceremony.
The photos of the incredible ceremony have been captured by photographer Jessica Manns, who wrote an emotional Facebook post after the wedding.

Lydia, the bride, thanked Jessica for the emotional post and the amazing photographs.
Needless to say, people absolutely loved the photos, and they managed to touch the hearts of many.
