If relationships and marriage were easy, there would be no divorces, and everyone would be happy. However, they’re most definitely very hard to navigate, especially when you add kids, careers, and family into the equation.
One woman had a battle on all of these fronts, and she decided to take it to Reddit’s Relationship Advice sub to ask for advice.
As it turns out, the woman lives with her husband of more than a decade and their two kids, and she recently received an offer for a big promotion that would require her to move into another state. Her husband, however, refuses to move, and his reasoning is that he wants the kids to grow close to his family. The woman is now left wondering what she should do, and if there’s any reasonable solution to this problem where both sides win. Check out the story below, and decide for yourself.
She asked Redditors what would they do, and they delivered. Although the opinions were divided, it seems like more people suggested that she should take the job, because his reasonings are pretty selfish to begin with. However, it’s not an easy thing to do, and it might end up having a divorce. Check out some of the most popular responses on Reddit, and feel free to share your own thoughts on the matter in the comment section. What do you think, should she take the promotion, or stay here where his family is?
